I love Christmas! The time that we celebrate our saviors birth. But this year it just did not feel like Christmas. It has been unsusually warm this year with very little rain, it has felt more like spring or early fall than winter. That being said we had a wonderful time with both of our families. We had a Tri-Tip dinner Christmas Eve at Stacy's Brothers house. Stacy's whole family was there, and I got to see our new niece for the first time. Christmas Day we had Turkey and Ham for dinner at my parents, with my whole family in attendance.

Stacy got her wedding ring back for Christmas, she is so thrilled. I got the New Nook Simple Touch for Christmas this year so I am reading again, but I do't think I will be able to get all 6 books that I wanted to this year. I am going to try to finish Wit'ch Star if I can but I am only about halfway through the book. I also got Inheritance by Christopher Paolini for Christmas this year, that will be the first book I begin after the first of the year.

Sean lost his two (bottom) front teeth just before Christmas. that was somewhat traumatic as they had to be extracted. He is getting bigger all the time. We have asked him to stop growing but he says he can't. we don't understand why.

We finally found our new church family. We our now regularly attending at Trinity Alliance Church. We have a new pastor, Pastor Dave Leppard.

Since I was not able to fully complete last years Goals, I think I going to update them and make them this years Goals as well.
  1. Get a new full time Job. (Classes are all finished. I have my license. It time to get that job.)
  2. Get in better shape. (I started to work out again at the end at the year now that the holidays are over its time to kick it into gear)
  3. Read 6 eBooks (And Inheritance as well)
I hope you all had a Merry Christmas and I Pray that God will pour out his blessings on you in this new year!

As of November 7 I am officially a Pharmacy Technician in the state of California. Unfortunately I did not know this till the day before Thanksgiving and I did not receive my actual license in the mail till Monday. So I missed out on an opportunity that I would have loved to been considered for at Redding Rancheria.

New task for Goal One: Find work as a Pharmacy Technician here in Redding, CA.

Goal one: New Job) I have made 2 steps in progress to a new full-time job. I am helping a buddy of mine working on computers. We are trying to build his business up enough to bring me on full-time. I also finished my Pharmacy Tech training in June, but have been waiting on the State to get me my license so I can actually look for work in a pharmacy.

Goal two: Read 6 ebooks) I have finished 1 book and started a second however, set my nook down at the college earlier this year and it walked away so I don't have my ebook reader anymore. I can use my laptop and phone they are just not as comfortable to read on. so I do not expect to finish this goal.

Goal three: Get in Better Shape) Stacy and I have started working out using Your Shape Fitness Evolved on the Xbox. And I have started to lose some weight. I am going to be adding a new gadget or two to the web site here that will show my progress.

Well I am happy to report that I am done with my second trimester at Shasta College. I am not sure what I got on my second mid term yet but I believe I did well. It was split into 2 parts and I got a 93% on the first half. So I am now on the home stretch. I have my externship lined up starting in May. If all goes well I will be a Licensed Pharmacy Technician shortly after the 4th of July. Then will start the the hard part, finding full time work.

So I Celebrated my birthday with my brother-in-law and my best-friend (We all have March Birthdays). And since we are all major Xbox-aholics I made an Xbox S-series Cake (I will upload a picture of the cake soon). Oh we had all of our boys and Michael here too. We had a blast playing Family Game night and Halo: Reach.

Tonight I took the second half of the midterm and received my scores for both halves. I am proud to say that I scored a 100% on the first half and an 89% on the second half so that puts my overall on the midterm at a 94.5%. And I am officially a third of the way through the course.

Well I wanted to figure out how many chapters Brandon Sanderson's Warbreaker was, so I could setup my new progress bar, and I found out that he posted the full book in PDF format on his own website. So while I have already listened to a few chapters on my Zune, I have decided that I am going to start-over and read the full book on my nook and that way I can add it to the e-book challenge. I have not decided yet but I may read and listen to it at the same time

So this week/weekend promises to be a busy one. I have a 2-part mid-term this next week. Part 1 is on Monday and will consist of a 100 point multiple choice test. Part 2 will  be on Wednesday, and will consist of a 100 point written test, half of which will consist of the knowledge of the trade name for 25  drugs and their generic names. This 2 part mid term will makeup 20% of my grade. So my guess is that after fulfilling the commitment to a "daddy date night" with my son tomorrow, I will probably become like a hermit in his cave. Closed up in my office studying for my tests, Only to be seen for food, a little bit of sleep here and there and maybe a glimpse of me as I go to meet up with members of my class to study some more. On the bright side if I am able to pull off a 90% or higher I will no longer have to take the CD quizzes.

I am tired of making a New Years Resolution every year and then within just a few months forgetting all about them. I do not want to give up on my plans for this year, so I am going to post them here.

My first goal is to get a new job. And to that means I started taking a class to become a Pharmacy Technician in November. (My first mid-term is next week)

2011 E-Book Challenge

My second goal for the year is to read at least 6 e-books this year on my nook so I am joining the 2011 e-book challenge at the Fascinated Level. You can follow my overall progress in the sidebar to the right or by going to my book corner you can see the books that I am currently reading and the books that I have read or plan to read.

My third goal is to get in better shape. I used to be member of Sun Oaks (a local gym) and they had Yoga and Group Power and a lap pool all of which I loved to do. But now that I am not paying for a membership it is so easy not to workout at all. Thankfully Santa brought us Your Shape Fitness Evolved for Christmas, so I am committing myself to use it at least once a week. I don't care if I lose weight as long as I get more active.

I plan to reassess my goals regularly and I plan to add new goals as I complete these.
